Homemade applesauce
1 liter
40 minutes

Ingredients
1/2 lemon
1 kg apple
1/2 dl water
1 dl sugar

Prepare a bowl of cold water, squeeze half a lemon into the water.
Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges. Place the wedges in the bowl of lemon water as you go, this prevents the apples from turning brown. Then strain all the water out and place the apple wedges in a large pot.
Pour in water and bring to a boil over low heat, ensuring it does not burn. Stir regularly until all the apples become soft. Then add the sugar and bring to a boil again. Remove from the heat once the sugar crystals have melted and mash the apples by hand or in a blender.
Pour the applesauce into clean jars. Then store the applesauce in the refrigerator.
