Pear

August - October

There are hundreds of different pear varieties in the world, and each variety has its own flavor profile, texture, and ripening time. Choosing the right variety can make a big difference both in the store and in the kitchen.

Most pears are versatile, suitable both for eating fresh and for use in baked goods, desserts, salads, or as an accompaniment to cheese and charcuterie. The balanced flavors, where sweetness and freshness meet, make pears a valued ingredient for both restaurants and retail customers who want to deliver products of high quality and flavor.

Outside the Swedish season, we offer imported pears from orchards where the climate means that the fruit ripens before or after our Swedish season. In this way, there is the opportunity to enjoy pears all year round.

Did you know that

Some pear varieties, such as Conference and Williams, ripen best after harvest. By letting them rest at room temperature for a few days, the fruit becomes softer, sweeter, and more aromatic.
