Mushroom

August - November

Swedish mushrooms are an autumn favorite that appear in our forests from late summer through October, depending on the weather and rainfall. The forest offers a rich variety of types, from chanterelles and funnel chanterelles to button mushrooms and porcini, all carefully picked by hand.

At Aroma, we value high-quality mushrooms and often source Swedish mushrooms from Wermlands Skogsförråd. By choosing seasonal mushrooms, you get the best flavor and quality, while supporting local forests and growers.

In addition to our classic mushroom varieties, which are easy to find in our Swedish forests, we have a rich selection of mushrooms for those of you who run a restaurant and want that little extra on the menu. We also offer, for example, shiitake, oyster mushrooms and enoki.

Did you know that

Of all the ingredients in the vegetable section, mushrooms are the only source of vitamin D. Mushrooms have the ability to draw vitamin D from sunlight, which means you can place your mushrooms in the sun before cooking for a little extra vitamin in your food. 100 g of chanterelles contain about 15 g of vitamin D.
